Hernández reported that a total of 89 accidents were reported nationwide.
In addition to the collisions, the deputy commissioner reported that 1740 violations, of which 55 drivers were penalized for driving while intoxicated, 118 for use of inadequate lights and 532 for exceeding statutory speed limits.
Hernandez calls on drivers not to exceed speed limits, do not drive if you have ingested alcoholic beverages and do not use technological devices while driving.
