The Ciudadanos candidate for the Presidency of the Junta de Castilla y León, Francisco Igea, has stated that his formation will vote against the ‘popular’ Alfonso Fernández Mañueco in an investiture after the elections on February 13 and He has not ruled out voting in favor of another PP candidate.
“If the candidate is Mañueco we have a problem because we cannot vote for such a dishonest person,” Igea said this Sunday in an interview on TRECE. In this sense, he has indicated that he does not rule out supporting the PP as long as the candidate is another. “We have decided that political dishonesty has to come at a price,” he stressed.
Even so, Igea has assured that his intention is to win the elections on February 13: “There are many options that we end up presiding.” The candidate has assured that the citizens of his region have not understood the electoral advance and that they have not “believed” the PP’s accusations of a possible motion of censure by Cs.
“Our people know that this is not true because they have been watching us work for two years (…) what they have done to us is a lack of disloyalty“, he underlined. At this point, Igea has also defended that this way of acting is not “doing politics”, but is “garbage”.
As for the surveys, he pointed out that it is the first time that there is so much indecision of vote in his region for a long time, and that the action of the Government, in which he himself was until a few weeks ago, is highly valued. For this reason, he has defended the ability of the ‘orange’ party to win the elections.
