The Gigantes del Cibao, in the Dominican Republic, and the Charros de Jalisco, in Mexico, were crowned champions in their respective professional baseball leagues.
In the Dominican Republic, the Gigantes del Cibao, in which Panamanian pitcher Enrique Burgos Jr. plays, were crowned champions by beating the Estrellas Orientales in the Final Series four games to one, also owned by Andy Otero and Christian Bethancourt.

In the game in which they were crowned, the Giants defeated the Eastern Stars 8-3. With their victory, the Giants will represent the Dominican Republic in the Santo Domingo 2022 Caribbean Series, becoming the fifth team in the tournament to qualify for the American tournament, while Venezuela has not yet decided its champion.
Charros win in Mexico
For their part, the Charros de Jalisco prevailed in the Mexican Pacific League, by beating the Tomateros de Cualiacán, led by Panamanian Alberto Baldonado, four games to three in the Final Series.
In the seventh and decisive match, the Charros defeated the Tomateros 8-1 to be crowned champions.
The Charros team is now preparing to represent Mexico in the Caribbean Series.
