Luis Conde, a lawyer who represented the late businessman Franco Macri, father of former President Mauricio Macri, died in a car accident in the province of La Pampa, police sources confirmed.
The incident occurred when he was driving from Buenos Aires to San Carlos de Bariloche, at the height of the town of La Reforma, in La Pampa.
“The Toyota Camry 2.4 vehicle, for reasons that are being established, got lost causing a rollover,” police sources said.
The authorities indicated that “the event left one victim, the passenger (Conde, who was traveling without his seat belt on)”, and confirmed that “the driver is hospitalized with minor injuries”.
The lawyer had had several media appearances and had been working for the businessman’s family for more than 20 years.
He represented Franco Macri, Sandra, the former president’s sister, and her husband, Daniel Lorenzo.
On one occasion, he had said that the then president and his brothers “thought ill of anyone who could get a peso out of their pocket, believing that the money had been made by them, but the maker of everything was Franco.”
