On the day of his birth and which marks the Musician’s Day in Argentina, President Alberto Fernández remembered Luis Alberto Spinetta through a message on his Twitter account.
“Spinetta, and so many other musicians from Argentina, left their mark on an entire generation. They are an inseparable part of our lives,” wrote the president, who on other occasions has confessed to being an admirer of “Flaco.”
“‘I would like my music to help alleviate the pain of those who cannot,’ said el Flaco. A unique sensibility and an eternal legacy“added the president.
The message is accompanied by a video in which tango legend Astor Piazzola is seen predicting in 1976 that “the same phenomenon that happened with the Beatles in 1960 is going to happen.” “A new music is being born in Buenos Aires”, remarked the composer of Adiós Nonino and highlighted Spinetta and Charly García.
“It is and will be a celebration of art”
