A record autumn: Mark Gurman forecasts a wave of releases never seen before for September and October

Mark Gurman’s Sunday newsletter this week has not served to reveal new clues about Apple’s future news, but there is an interesting prediction: according to the editor of Bloomberg, in Cupertino they would be preparing for have the biggest fall of releases they’ve ever had.

In autumn we will choke on news

In Gurman’s words, “the largest set of new Apple hardware products in its history” is being prepared. Between September and October we would see the iPhone 14, a large-screen ‘iMac Pro’, a new MacBook Air, the second generation AirPods Pro, the Apple Watch Series 8, a new standard iPad and new iPad Pro.

Would there be anything left for the rumored event that we would have in March or April? Yes, in that event we would see the arrival of the third generation iPhone SE, a new iPad Air and the inclusion of the M1 Pro chip in some Mac that has already been launched: perhaps in new Mac mini models or in the 24-inch iMac as a more powerful option.

It all depends on how the pandemic progresses, but it should also be considered the return of the keynotes face-to-face. In spring we will continue to see pre-recorded events, but perhaps the Omicron variant will already be endemic by the time summer is over and Apple is once again considering holding its events in person. And if so many news are being prepared for then, it may be the perfect time.
