Today's weather forecast: cold front No. 22 will bring rain and strong winds

Mexico.- This day, the cold front #22 quickly travel through the northern, northeastern, eastern and southeastern states of Mexico, causing punctual rains intense accompanied by electric shocks and probable hail fall in Chiapas and Tabasco, as well as very heavy rains in Puebla, Veracruz and Oaxaca.

At night, this frontal system will approach the Yucatan Peninsula, causing heavy rain with thunderstorms in the region. The polar air mass that will drive the front will generate intense winds with dust storms over entities in the north and northeast of the country, with wind gusts close to 90 km/h in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

Likewise, a marked drop in temperature is expected with frosts at dawn over entities in the north and northeast of the national territory, in addition to possible sleet or snow fall in mountainous areas of Chihuahua, Durango and, at night, on mountain peaks above 4,000 meters above sea level in the center and east of the national territory.

Too, a “north” event is forecast with wind gusts of 90 to 110 km/h and high waves on the coasts of Tamaulipas and Veracruz, a condition that will extend during the night towards the Isthmus and the Gulf of Tehuantepec.

Finally, a low pressure channel and the entry of moisture from both oceans will cause rains and showers accompanied by electrical discharges over the west, center and south of the Mexican Republic.
