The mixture between haze and water could cause a "mud rain" in the Canary Islands

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), foresees a greater entry of calima in the Canary Islands tomorrow, Sunday. Specifically, they point out that in all the Islands there is a probability that the presence of dust in suspension will occur “intensely”, for which reason the yellow warning remains active.

In addition, strong winds of more than 70 km/h are expected in Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro, where an alert has been declared for this reason and all this could be mixed with the arrival of rains due to a storm in the early hours of Monday.

as the account points @meteomostoles This mixture of haze and water could cause a mud rain on the Islands, something that has occurred before with episodes of intense suspended dust.

It could rain in large areas of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Gran Canaria. In these last three islands, rainfall could come from the hand of storms. In the case of Tenerife, the North and metropolitan areas would receive most of these rains.
