Oleksandr Mostovoy does not advise Shevchenko to join the Polish national team

Former midfielder of the Russian national team Alexander Mostovoy does not advise the Ukrainian coach Andrey Shevchenko to go to the national team of Poland.

“I will be surprised if Shevchenko leads the Polish national team. Yes, he is one of the candidates, but two or three coaches there have already refused. And all this is publicly, and behind the scenes, probably even more. When it comes to the national team coach, candidates are added every day. Another thing is that the appointment can take place only for one game (laughs). You lose the joints – and that’s it. You should not go there, ”Mostovoy “Championship” quotes the words.

Recall that today the Genoese club press service announced the dismissal of the Ukrainian specialist. Shevchenko has only won once in 11 matches since taking over in November 2021.

In his last match under the leadership of the Ukrainian, Genoa lost 1:3 to Milan in extra time in the 1/8 finals

After 21 matches, the team is 19th in Serie A with 12 points.
