Match winner De Bruyne does not claim title yet: "But it will be difficult for Chelsea"

Match winner and of course man of the match. Kevin De Bruyne appeared in front of the microphone after the match with a big smile. “Chelsea had a good plan and were good defensively, but we played a good game,” he said.

“Obviously it’s nice to score, especially if it’s the only goal. I got away from Kante and looked for free space, but in the end went for the shot. And that worked out perfectly.”

In the first half, the topper was somewhat closed, after the break there were more opportunities. “It is always difficult to play against Chelsea,” said De Bruyne. “They know what they are doing. After the break it went up and down more and then Chelsea can be dangerous.”

But in the standings, the greatest danger seems to have passed: City already has 13 points ahead, with 16 games left on the competition calendar. “We knew we could widen the gap with a win, but we shouldn’t look too much at that yet,” said De Bruyne.

“The momentum can change very quickly, but it will be difficult for Chelsea to return. Now they have to play almost perfectly. We want to keep the momentum and win every game.”
