The Vox candidate for the Presidency of the Junta de Castilla y León, Juan Garcia-Gallardo, has underlined the fight against depopulation as a “historic mission” of the party, since he considers it “a matter of life or death.” Garcia-Gallardo He also wanted to launch a message addressed to young Castilian-Leonese: “We do not want to be poor and happy as the 2030 Agenda wants, which is embraced by all parties except VOX.”
To do this, it has proposed measures that are in line with the promotion of the birth rate or that allow “helping young people return to their land, the land of our elders”, as indicated this Saturday in Valladolid during the presentation of the candidacy.
An appointment in which the candidate has been supported by the leader of the formation, Santiago Abascal, and its general secretary, Javier Ortega Smith, as well as by the rest of the members of the list for the next regional elections on February 13.
Garcia-Gallardo who has recalled that Castilla y León “is the second most depopulated community behind Asturias”, has criticized that this situation is “unsustainable” and has also advanced that it will not allow “the deterioration of the productive fabric or attacks on the primary sector », since he has lamented that other parties speak of environmentalism when «they do not listen to the farmers and condemn the countryside with their arbitrary measures».
“It is intolerable, unfair and unfortunate that one of the regions most loyal to the nation as a whole has been disadvantaged for the benefit of the separatists,” he stressed, while lamenting that “it seems as if Castilla y León were a cursed region, condemned to suffer and die slowly, as if she had no remedy». “But that cannot be so, I do not resign myself,” he riveted.
García-Gallardo recalled that “30 years ago the party that sits in the Presidency of the Board already governed and, since then, promised great changes.” “But later we saw how the PP systematically failed to fulfill its promises,” he said, before stressing that today is “a day of joy” for the Community and for Spain.
“It is a pride to lead this candidacy to defend all Castilians and Leonese,” he acknowledged, before thanking the leader of the Santiago Abascal party for the opportunity and confidence and predicting that Vox will be part of the next government of the Board.
