YPF announced investments for US$ 290 million in Chubut

The El Trébol deposit, with more than 70 years of history, will start the first pilot for the development of tertiary, a milestone that will open a new opportunity for the future of said field. This project foresees for 2022 the installation of a modular polymer injection plant and a water treatment plant.

Meanwhile, in Restinga Ali, a field that is more than 90 years old, a well will be drilled that will make it possible to evaluate the potential of the area with the aim of increasing production in a field that was recovered by the company in 2013.

Through Decree 278/21, the Chubut government seeks to reactivate areas, with incentives such as the temporary reduction of oil royalties for the reactivation or drilling of wells in areas of oil concessions.

The event was attended by the Governor of Chubut, Mariano Arcioni ; the mayor of Comodoro Rivadavia, John Paul Luke ; the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Martin Cerda ; the provincial deputy, John Country ; the president of Petrominera, Hector Miller ; the vice president of Upstream YPF, Gustavo Astie ; and the YPF Operational Excellence Manager, Aníbal Gariniani.

Also present were the general secretary of the Chubut Oil Workers’ Union, Jorge Avila ; the general secretary of the UOCRA Chubut, Raul Silva ; the president of the Chamber of Petroleum Services Companies, Gustavo Twardowski , among other provincial and municipal authorities.
