Will the haze that is announced this weekend be as intense as that of the year 2020?

The haze arrives in Tenerife from today and is expected to gain special strength in the Canary Islands this weekend, after what was seen yesterday in the eastern islands.

Forecasts last night indicated a worsening of the situation with a greater presence of Saharan dust than expected.

Some meteorologists did not even rule out the repetition of an episode similar to that of February 2020, days before the COVID broke out.

The intrusion was then described as the biggest sandstorm in more than 40 years over the Archipelago.

But this time of Levante, as many of our farmers refer to it, also comes with strong winds in the north of the western ones.
