Facebook has been working on bringing reactions to its main messaging app for just over six months. WhatsApp will soon offer the option to quickly reply to a message, the same way iMessage already does. Soon? The truth is that yes, because the latest beta of the app already shows the settings for this feature.
iMessage-style message reactions
According to WABetaInfo, version 22.2.72 of the application, which is currently in TestFlight in beta, brings new settings to manage reaction notifications. This version does not yet bring the reactions itself, but we understand that his arrival is imminent.
A few months ago the publication was able to see the options, being part of a private beta of the several that Facebook uses to test WhatsApp. Now these options have been rolled out in the public beta channel, so that all the participants in the program can already see them.
Without having more information about the arrival of the reactions to the messaging app, the fact that Facebook has deployed the options to manage their notifications leads us to think that these will arrive very soon.
According to WABetaInfo, the app will offer the ability to react to a specific message with up to six emojis. Currently, the list is made up of likes, hearts, laughter, surprise, sadness, and gratitude. A range of possibilities that could be expanded over time and that is very similar, even in order, to what we have been enjoying for a few years in iMessage. For now we will have to wait a little longer, but it seems that, unlike other times, the wait will be short.
