Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy has suggested that US President Joe Biden hold tripartite talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin amid tensions over the Ukraine crisis. The US side is said to have shown interest in this.
Kyiv has suggested Washington hold a summit, possibly in video conference format, with Moscow. In view of the tense situation surrounding the Ukraine crisis, Vladimir Zelensky turned to US President Joe Biden with this proposal, according to the Ukrainian presidential administration.
According to the Ukrainian side, they are now waiting for the Kremlin’s reaction. According to Kiev, the United States had shown great interest in the proposal.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Russian media that Moscow has not yet received any proposals for a summit from Washington.
