The Municipality of the capital reported that, due to poor service provided by the company Sociedad Aguas del Tucumán (SAT), more than 200 families in the Independencia neighborhood have been suffering from a lack of drinking water for several weeks. To alleviate the situation, the municipality distributed more than 9,000 liters of drinking water for home consumption and personal hygiene in Buenos Aires street to 4,700.
In total, the municipality delivered more than 1,200 liters of mineral water in drums, for personal consumption, and another 8,000 liters through a tanker truck, which families in the area can use for personal hygiene.
The Municipality also specified the delivery of drinking water to the Pantaleón Fernández school, located in that neighborhood. “This measure is part of the tasks that we have been carrying out in recent days, since last week, trying to bring a palliative approach to the people,” explained the Secretary of Government, Rodolfo Ocaranza.
