Support for the authorities of the transition after the ECOWAS sanctions: Rallies planned for this Friday inside and outside the country

This Friday, January 14, 2022, a large meeting in support of the transitional authorities is planned on the Boulevard de l’Indépendance. The same is true in other localities of the country and in the diaspora, according to the initiators, made up of political parties, religious organizations, movements, associations, groups, simple citizens who recognize themselves in the defense of part, etc). The organizers, including the President of the Convention for Mali (CMP), Dr. Allaye Bocoum; Ben the brain of the Yèrèwolo Movement standing on the ramparts; the support movement for Sharif Bouyé Haïdara of Nioro du Sahel; the association of retail traders; by Dana amasagou; du M5 RFP, etc., made this known on January 12, 2022, at the Bourse du Travail, during a press briefing.

The purpose of this outing is crystal clear. It is a question of responding to ECOWAS and UEMOA, following the sanctions imposed on January 9, during the extraordinary summit held in Accra, Ghana, in our country, Mali. The transitional authorities have thus called on Malians, in all their diversities, to go out this Friday, January 14, 2022 everywhere in Mali and outside Mali. ” We are going out to respond to the unjust, unjustified, remote-guided, educated sanctions of these two sub-regional institutions under the orders of France instead of serving their peoples. We go out this Friday to answer the patriotic call to defend our sovereignty, our unity, indivisibility, our dignity. We come out to say no to the bizarre sanctions taken which violate the texts of the said institutions such as the closure of land and air borders and the freezing of Mali’s assets by ECOWAS and UEMOA which sanction Mali, while these texts say black on white that a decision can only be taken unanimously by its member countries“, said Dr. Allaye Bocoum. According to him, the leaders of ECOWAS and UEMOA thought that by sanctioning the authorities of the transitions, the Malians would rise up against their authorities who work in accordance with the recommendations of their people. “The opposite effect has occurred. On the contrary, these sanctions have allowed Malians to unite, to gather, to attach themselves more than ever to their country, to affirm more their dignity, solidarity, pride, to defend the common homeland. Let the Heads of State of ECOWAS and UEMOA know that the five years requested by the authorities are the recommendations of the National Assembly for Refoundation (ARN) by the people throughout the country and in the diaspora. It is the Malian people who are asking for this time. They want to bury Mali and Malians alive. But it won’t happen easily. Because Mali is a country of honor, dignity, prideconcluded Dr. Allaye Bocoum.
