Parents support school maintenance work

The fathers and mothers of the family are involved in the repair and adaptation works of the country’s schools and contribute to student life and to the improvement of reading comprehension and fluency.

“With this initiative, our children know that their parents are watching, they try to improve for them and they feel more motivated to learn and improve their grades,” said the father of the family, Mario Quintero, during one of the maintenance sessions.

At the Adolfo Herrera school, located in Río de Jesús, province of Veraguas, the coordinators of Maintenance and Community Education and Parents, participated with local authorities, teachers and guardians in maintenance and cleaning sessions at the aforementioned school.

In the inter-institutional work, 18 gallons of paint and labor were donated to prepare the educational campus and guarantee a good start to classes, next March 7. Parents participate with labor and maintenance work, guaranteeing decent and safe facilities.

In the El Pilón school, in the district of Montijo, also in Veraguas, maintenance and cleaning work was carried out in the same way, with the collaboration of the attendees who are interested in the timely opening of the educational centers.

Likewise, it was learned that the educational community and the parents of the Sebastián Pinzón school, in Santa María, Herrera, assumed the commitment to collaborate jointly with the Ministry of Education and other institutions in the maintenance days.
