What are fans saying about the duet with Snoop Dogg?
For the opener song of the 17th “GNTM” season, Heidi Klum has teamed up with Snoop Dogg. How is “Chai Tea with Heidi” received?
Heidi Klum (48) has released her song “Chai Tea With Heidi”, which has been available since January 14 and will be the theme song of the upcoming 17th season of “Germany’s next top model”. In it she can be heard together with rap star Snoop Dogg (50), the song was produced by husband Tom Kaulitz (32) with his new DJ project WeddingCake. How is the song received by the fans?
From “absolutely cringe” to “perfect for dancing”
“I can’t get the song out of my ears,” said a fan on WeddingCake’s Instagram account, excited about the song’s catchy tune potential. “Perfect for dancing,” judged another. One user even thinks he has heard the “summer hit 2022”. “The beat is mega, vocally I find it a bit reserved,” joked another.
In the first clip for the song that Heidi Klum published on Instagram on Thursday, the enthusiasm was not heard by everyone either. “Heidi’s voice sounds terrible,” commented one user. “Absolutely cringe” or “Snoop, so sad that you did that” were other comments. “Poor Rod Stewart,” one listener also noted. Rod Stewart’s (77) hit “Baby Jane” from 1983 was sampled for the song.
“I’ve been singing my whole life, and now having a song with ‘The Godfather of Rap’ is really an absolute highlight in my life,” explained Klum in the ProSieben interview. Snoop Dogg is “simply the coolest guy ever. He has no airs and graces and you laugh a lot with him.” The song was recorded in three days at his recording studio in Inglewood, Los Angeles.
