Objective: 10 million tourists

On Tuesday, the Minister of Production Augusto Costa gave a press conference in which he assured that more than 2,765,000 tourists have already traveled through the different tourist destinations in the province of Buenos Aires, a figure about 20% higher than the last five years.

“We already know that it will be the best season in a decade, it will allow us to reach and exceed 10 million tourists in the season, which means more work and, above all, recovering much of what was lost during the pandemic”, highlighted the Minister, who today participated in the meeting in Chapadmalal.

Another issue that the governor Axel Kicillof put on the table was the vaccination campaign which, as he repeatedly pointed out, is what allows the summer season to be sustained in the midst of the third wave of coronavirus and with record contagion figures.

Lastly, jointly addressed the emergency situation due to the heat wave that affects the entire province of Buenos Aires and that caused power outages and blackouts in several areas of the Buenos Aires territory, especially in the suburbs.
