The tram in the metropolitan area of Tenerife will suspend the uninterrupted weekend night service that Line 1 offered from 00:00 to 06:00, due to restrictions due to the pandemic.

This variation of the service will be maintained while the control measures established by the Government of the Canary Islands against COVID 19 corresponding to level 4 are activated, reported Metrotenerife, a Cabildo company.

The weekend day service will continue with its usual frequencies for the days of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, so that both Line 1 and Line 2 begin service at 6:00 and end at midnight.

The maximum occupancy per tram is 75%, with 150 people, which means all seats and 90 standing passengers.

The tranviaonline application has been updated to the new threshold of 75%, so it will notify the user of the degree of occupancy of the next trams to arrive at their stops, where audible warnings have also been activated.

Metrotenerife maintains hygiene and disinfection measures and protocols and the mandatory use of the mask.
