Russia wanted to receive a written response from the United States to the security proposals

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said Moscow expects a written response from Washington and its allies to their security proposals. This was reported on the embassy’s Facebook page.

Antonov noted that Moscow has already presented its initiatives to get the situation out of the crisis, explained them on January 10 at the talks in Geneva, and on January 12 – within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council. The diplomat stressed that Russia expects an adequate response, but not in the form of populist statements, but well-reasoned written proposals.

The ambassador also said that the allegations of Moscow’s allegedly hatched plan to invade Ukraine are the fruit of the sick imagination of American Russophobic circles, the result of their mental breakdown. Antonov stressed that Russia has no aggressive intentions towards Ukraine.
