Argentino was free on the market since leaving Cruzmaltino in December and signed a two-year contract with Tricolor
After weeks of speculation, the Fluminense used social networks to announce the signing of the Argentine striker German Cano, 34. The announcement was made this Thursday afternoon at 13m after the player underwent medical examinations. Cano has been free on the market since leaving the Vasco da Gama, one of Fluminense’s main rivals, and signed a two-year contract with Tricolor. On social media, the team from Rio published a montage making references to the Mario franchise game. On the official website, the club used the “faz o L” commemoration, the striker’s brand, to make the announcement. “I am very happy to join a club like Fluminense, a very big team in Brazil and around the world. I hope to achieve very important things this year and live up to expectations. Playing in Libertadores with this shirt is something special. This is a very different tournament from the others and we have to be prepared to achieve great goals”, said Cano. This was Fluminense’s sixth reinforcement for the year. In addition to Cano, the team was joined by defender David duarte, the side Pineida, the steering wheel Felipe Melo, the sock Natan and the attacker Willian Mustache.
