In this sense, they explained that “the cable failure caused the interruption of the electrical service in approximately 6,000 supplies of the Santa Lucía Department. From the EPRE, the tasks carried out by Energía San Juan SA were supervised to the precise location of the failure site. of the underground cable, starting immediately at 01:30 am on 01/13/22 the tasks of executing trenches for cable repair “.

In addition, they said that “at 7 am on 01/13/22 the repair tasks were completed, gradually restoring service to the affected supplies, restoring the system to its normal operating state.”

On the other hand, they detailed that the entity is permanently monitoring the evolution of the provision of the service during this week, in order to verify the correct action by the concessionaires Energía San Juan SA and DECSA, shown in figure a continuation of the evolution of the quantity of supplies affected, and of the claims registered from the time of occurrence of the contingency.

Finally, they warned that “after the end of the alert period imposed by the heat wave, the performance of the (energy) distributors will be audited, instructing the corresponding summary actions, and in case the limits of cuts and duration of the same, the sanctions that are provided in the current regulations will be applied to the concessionaires “.
