60% of Catalans ask Aragonese for a new roadmap: less 'procés' and more regional management

59.5% of Catalans want the president of the Generalitat, the Republican Pere Aragonés, focus your government’s action on the management of public services that are “within its competence.” This figure is almost double that of those who ask him to focus his efforts on the ‘procés’ to solve the ‘political problem’ between Catalonia and the rest of Spain, who represent 37.5%.

According to a survey by the Government Opinion Study Center today, something like the Catalan CIS, the trend shows that the number of citizens who ask the executive to focus on regional management (go from 56.6% to 59.5% in one year) while those who ask that it focus on the identity issue go from 39.9% in September 2020 to 37.5% today.

This trend is accompanied, in general terms, by a slight increase in the assessment that citizens make of the management of the Government. At this time, the management of the executive of Pere Aragonés it obtains a 4.85 out of ten, rising seven tenths with respect to the note obtained by its predecessor, Quim Torra, who left office in September 2020 after being disqualified for disobeying the Central Electoral Board by refusing to take down a political banner from the balcony of the Palau de la Generalitat.

As a reminder of the vote, only ERC voters approve the management of Pere Aragonés’s executive, who put a 5.85, those of Junts, a government partner, that put a 5.28 and those of the commons, They give it a 5.25. The voters of the rest of the parties suspend the management of the Govern ERC-Junts, the worst grade being given by the voters of the PP, who rate the management of the president and his advisers with a 2.75 out of ten.

Another curious element about the work of the Government is the bad image that part of the 1,500 interviewees used in the sample have of this. In fact, 40.6% of them say they have a “very or quite bad” image of the way the regional administration works. This figure is up more than three points compared to the previous edition of the report. In turn, those who have an opinion «very or quite good»Go from 51.9% to 49.4%.
