UVT did not overcome the 'trauma' of the first set lost to Monteros and finally fell 3-0

In the same way that UPCN San Juan Vóley in the game the night before, this Wednesday Monteros Vóley bagged his first victory in the LVA RUS right on his farewell to Paraná, above UVT Vóley and in straight sets with partials of 27- 25, 25-21 and 25-18.

UVT started better, with Vasquez active for a score of 7-5, and after an erratic stretch in both the difference remained at 14-11 and 17-14. The San Juan team entered the final stretch (20-16), but Monteros kicked the board with the entry of the Lazarte-Sarmiento double change: the point guard fed him to the opposite and the story reverted to a 24-23 from Tucumán. In his third set ball, and with the return of Frontini, Monteros took it 27-25.

Orange’s energy held toward a 4-1 start, but was soon leveled by UVT and there was parity for a while. Even the community team came to be 15-14 after an ace from Vasquez, but Monteros returned to the charge definitively. Cáceres, entered in the previous set, blocked for numbers of 20-17 and, after another UVT attempt via Vásquez, rotated Frontini at 23-21 and two errors accelerated the arrival of 25-21.

Sarmiento stayed as a starter and rounded off his good game in the third set: total of 9 points and 64% efficiency. Thus, Monteros put 9-6 and, although UVT raised a last attempt, a blockade of Reyes and more of Sarmiento liquidated the story (18-13). Cáceres joined the line of fire from the blockade, Mansilla also contributed and Lazarte, with an ace, declared the final 25-18.
