The street asking for love - Bach Diep poem

Bach Diep

City ask for love

The street is asking for love/ with two cups of morning coffee! (Painting: Dinh Truong Chinh)

5:30am (stop spacing)
Turn on all the water in the park
at the seven junctions, the narrow golden alleys are shining with rain
first season herbs and flowers
Open up the beach with arms wide
Open up the water to push the ship to the sun
the wind flows through the slim back
The wilderness is like a trail of clouds that just passed the window

Oh, the one who fell asleep, the phone rang, love you.
Oh, you forgot the ash-colored cross on the nightly Old Testament
love street!

5h 30am
the wind blew the curtain a few more names out of my ears
girls with open back curvy skirts
does not make the day greener
no longer hurt me
with squiggly colored fingers

I don’t wait for a match
Don’t hesitate to praise someone
Don’t hesitate because your feet are wearing the wrong shoes
The red light at the intersection has not been reported
Let’s run fast to the end of the train line

the street is asking for love
with two cups of morning coffee!
