Visits to the ER increase

“We warned a few weeks ago and the situation has only gotten worse. We are at the limit. What would happen if we stopped the Urgencies and Emergencies services? The collapse of the system would be immediate. We are exhausted. The urgencies are on the edge of the abyss. We have been warning it for some time and no measures are being taken “, commented the president of SEMES, Tato Vázquez-Lima.

As reported by emergency physicians, the cumulative incidence and the increase in hospitalization of critics “directly affect the emergency services and emergencies due to the needs of these patients, which require an initial clinical assessment, risk stratification and admission decision or home treatment “.

“The only thing we hope is that our Prime Minister takes this issue seriously. Because imagine what would happen in our country if the emergencies stopped working because we can no longer work, not only because we are exhausted, but because we do not feel or support nor recognized. Mr. Pedro Sánchez, we are on the edge of the abyss. Listen to us at once: Emergency Specialty now, “he has riveted.

Sick leave due to Covid

Andalusia, Asturias, Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, the Valencian Community, Galicia and Murcia are the seven autonomies that have already established strategies to expedite work discharges and discharges due to coronavirus with the aim of unblocking the collapse of Primary Care.

Specifically, in Andalusia, since last December 30, 2021, the possibility of carrying out the procedures to request the withdrawal through the free mobile application Salud Responde was started.

Thus, as of this Wednesday, the inspection teams will be in charge of carrying out this procedure.

So positive people they will receive a call from the tracking team to ask them, among other things, about the need to process sick leave. If so, the surveillance team will initiate this procedure, so contact with the health center will not be necessary for this management.
