SEPYC seeks relevant and high-quality education for students in Sinaloa

Culiacán.- To elaborate the Education Chapter of the State Development Plan 2022-2027, This afternoon the Strategic Council of the Ministry of Public Education and Culture was formally installed (SEPYC). It was agreed to focus the policies towards the articulation of institutional actions that have as a priority aim to ensure that the New Mexican School in Sinaloa takes effect, as well as raise the level of opportunities for all children, youth and adolescents.

The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary of Higher and Higher Secondary Education, Rodrigo López Zavala, on behalf of the Secretary of Education, Graciela Domínguez Nava. When taking a protest from the members of this Council, he pointed out that Governor Rubén Rocha Moya’s instruction is to prepare this guiding document for the next six years, under an innovative and transformative form, which lays the foundations for the future of Sinaloa.

The governor, López Zavala added, has been very emphatic that his government is for everyone, but with humanistic horizons, that is, turning to those marginalized, highly vulnerable spaces that make it possible for education to reach every corner, not only for the right of access, but establish strategies to make education relevant and of high quality.

He indicated that the strategic basis for the elaboration of the State Development Plan in the educational area will be enriched with the proposals of the members of this Council with educational innovation and social justice, which will make the New Mexican School in force in Sinaloa.

Among the topics that will be reflected in the PED, are: full coverage for all girls, boys, adolescents and young people of the entity, relevant learning at all educational levels, in tune with regional needs and the context of the global world, as well as effective socio-cultural inclusion in schools and the establishment of education as a right.

Another objective to be achieved, he said, is to project the educational public policy expressed in strategies and actions towards a long-term vision, in addition to the revitalization of life in schools, with greater participation of teachers and students in the construction and reconstruction of knowledge.
