Real Madrid beat Barcelona in extra time to reach the Spanish Super Cup final

This Wednesday, the 12th, took place the first El Clásico of the year. Barcelona e Real Madrid entered the field to play in the semifinals of the Spanish Supercup, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and drew 2-2 in normal time. In extra time, Real made it 3-2 and advanced to the final. The match was well balanced, with both teams playing a leading role. Real Madrid took the lead in the 25th minute with Vinicius Junior. At 41 minutes, Luke de Jong left everything the same. In the second half, Barcelona improved and went up, but in Karim Benzema, Real took the lead again. Xavi made changes and in the 38th minute, Ansu Fati appeared in the small area to head into the goal and equalize again. The score remained equal until the end of regulation time, and the game went into overtime.

In extra time, Barcelona even tried, but in the 97th minute the merengue team took the lead with Valverde and won the game, taking the spot in the final. In the final minute, Rodrygo had a great chance but kicked it wide. This Thursday, at 16:00 (Brasília time), Atletico Madrid and Athletico Bilbao will face off in search of the second spot. The big decision takes place on Sunday, the 16th, with no set time yet.
