The three-time Olympic champion in triple jumps died in Sydney at the age of 77. He will be buried tomorrow in Sydney. Tkemaladze made a statement about this at the Georgian National Olympic Committee, where a book of condolences has been opened. Three-time Olympic triple jump champion dies at 77

TBILISI, 12 Jan – Sputnik. One of the streets in Tbilisi will be named in honor of the legendary athlete Viktor Saneev, said the chairman of the capital’s sakrebulo Georgy Tkemaladze.

The three-time Olympic triple jump champion died in Sydney at the age of 77. He will be buried tomorrow in Sydney.

“The merit of Viktor Saneev to our country is enormous. He has glorified Georgia in the international arena more than once. That is why we want to immortalize his name and assign the name of Viktor Saneev to one of the streets in the capital,” Tkemaladze said.
