Mañueco does not want to hear about agreements with VOX: "I bet on having a sufficient majority to govern alone"

The Popular Party candidate for the Presidency of the Board, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, today avoided clarifying whether, if necessary, he would agree with VOX to govern in Castilla y León. Quite the contrary: “I aspire to have a majority support, a sufficient majority that allows me to govern alone, and from there all the manifestations of all the political formations I respect them, although I don’t share them ”, He has assured, in reference to the tweets published by the VOX candidate, Juan García-Gallardo, and that they have received an avalanche of criticism and qualifications as homophobic, racist and sexist.

According to Mañueco, this majority will be the one that allows the “necessary stability” to “continue to offer opportunities for the future and to protect the most needy and vulnerable people,” among which he has cited the dependents, the disabled, and has not been forgotten of the victims of gender violence and abuse.

Mañueco has made these statements moments before the meeting that he is holding this morning in Zamora with the platform of the Third Sector of Castilla y León. There, the popular leader has indicated that he only feels “affinity for my party, my program, my project and the people who accompany me. I want to be the president of all the people of Castilla y León ”.

The Popular Party of Castilla y León celebrates its Autonomous Congress this weekend, in which Fernández Mañueco, the only candidate, will be ratified as president, supported by the National Directorate and the popular barons of all Spanish territory. “It was planned that the congress would be held in other circumstances and in another environment,” he stressed, “but I want to thank all the people of Castilla y León who already ratified me as the only candidate before Christmas; I want to be the person who continues to lead the transformation of our land ”.
