Hauser in the sprint of Ruhpolding sixth

Lisa Hauser finished sixth at the start of the Biathlon World Cup in Ruhpolding.

In the last sprint before the Olympic Games, the Tyrolean is 42.1 seconds behind Elvira Öberg after 7.5 kilometers and two faultless shoots. The outstanding Swede distanced the second-placed Norwegian Marte Olsbu Röiseland by 21.6 seconds, followed by the Italian Dorothea Wierer (+29.7) and Belarusian Dsinara Alimbekawa (+30.2).

The other Austrians Katharina Innerhofer (78th), Julia Schwaiger (79th) and Christina Rieder (83rd) land in the defeated field and miss the qualification for the pursuit of the best 60 on Sunday.
