A few days away from celebrating 41 years, Diogo Morgado gave an interview to CARAS, where he reveals to be a man who is well in his skin and in his roles: that of actor/director, where he feels in permanent discovery, and that of father of Santiago, 12, and Afonso, of five, which force you to constantly question yourself and for which you are grateful every day.

Back to national fiction on TVI, where he gives life to Pedro, in the soap opera Forever, Diogo Morgado reveals the difficulties he finds in separating the professions of actor and director.

– As a director, can you distance yourself from the actor Diogo?

– Yes, the opposite is that it was always difficult. My tendency as an actor is to go from the general to the particular. The whole thing fascinates me and then I go looking for form and detail to get there. When I’m not on stage, I feel like I’m from a director’s perspective. And I think a good actor must know how to do this analysis to be free on stage. Much of the director’s work follows the same process: preparing everything and then having the freedom to experiment and let it happen.
