CAN 2021 - Huge scandal between Tunisia and Mali!

Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe put an end to the match between Tunisia and Mali before the 90th minute, leaving no stoppage of play despite several substitutions. Funny victory for the Malians.

The final whistle of the Mali-Tunisia match (1-0) sounded with a few seconds left to play, angering the Carthage Eagles who still hoped to equalize, Wednesday in Limbé during the African Cup of nations (CAN). The yet experienced Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe already had a first time stopped the match in the 85th minute, already making the Tunisian bench mad with rage. After having visibly transformed this too early whistle into a cool break, the referee resumed the match. But he stopped it for good a few seconds from the end of the 90th minute, even before the start of a hypothetical additional time.

This time it was the entire Tunisian delegation that became furious, coach Mondher Kebaier frantically waving his watch under the noses of officials. The referee quartet had to leave under security escort in the face of the anger of the Carthage Eagles. Janny Sikazwe referee is in his fifth CAN, he also participated in the 2018 World Cup and refereed the African club cup finals.
