Apple launched the App Store Foundations program in 2018. Within it, selected developers receive additional support and training to make your apps even better. Today the Cupertino company announced that 30 of the current participants in the program are Spanish.

A program to go from developing an application to creating a viable business

Getting an app off the ground offers its challenges. It is not only about knowing how to program, it is about the idea, the execution and being able to reach the audience that the app is aimed at. In order to help developers achieve these goals, Apple launched this help and training program, a program that has been active for about four years.

Today the company announces some of the beneficiaries of this program, 30 of which are Spanish developers:

“Spain has some of the most creative and talented developers in the world, who design innovative apps that reach millions of people. In order to help strengthen this community, Apple already has 30 app creators in its App program Store Foundations in Spain. The news coincides with the expansion of the program, which will be present in 29 European countries “.

App Store Foundations offers additional support to developers in the form of a personalized training plan. A plan that is developed in communication with leaders of the App Store at European and national level and that takes place in both individual and group sessions.

During the sessions, the developers learn to boost their business and expand the reach of their apps. Some of the topics covered include improving the use of technology as well as the APIs that Apple offers, creating an editorial section to gain a presence in the App Store and becoming known among users, as well as monetization or marketing issues.

Once the participation in the program ends the developers still have access to Apple expertsso they can always count on support to keep improving their applications. In addition, former participants become part of a network where close contact and cooperation is maintained.

“We are happy to promote the talent and creativity of Spanish developers,” said Christopher Moser, Senior Director of the App Store in Europe. “By welcoming the 30th Spanish developer to the App Store Foundations program, while expanding it to more countries, we reaffirm our commitment to closely collaborate and maintain a constant dialogue with developers as they create exciting apps that benefit millions of users across everyone. I am looking forward to seeing the results in the coming months and years.

Among the apps participating in the program, Apple highlights LactApp, an application for breastfeeding women; iLovePDF, an application to scan, convert and annotate PDFs; and Sister, a personal safety app.

The three reasons why you should use Apple Maps according to its creators

All of them are apps from Spanish developers who have benefited from the experience and training offered by the App Store Foundations program. A program very much in the vein of something that Apple, and also its executives, have mentioned on more than one occasion: everyone should learn to program.
