TBILISI, 11 Jan – Sputnik. Leader of the Georgian Labor Party Shalva Natelashvili will decide to enter parliament or not, based on the results of a poll, which he published on his Facebook page. For the first time, the Labor leader announced his plans to enter the Georgian parliament on New Year’s holidays on the TV Pirveli “. As Natelashvili noted, he is not at all eager to take the parliamentary seat, but the behavior of other opposition parties, which nevertheless do not leave the supreme legislative body, forces the Laborites to think about a parliamentary tribune. According to him, the party will take the final decision based on the position expressed by the people. According to the survey, each user can vote only once. It is advisable to leave short “yes” or “no” answers. Comments left from fake profiles will be immediately removed, the politician said. The opposition boycotted parliament immediately after the 2020 parliamentary elections, accusing the authorities of falsifying them. Then, after the signing of the so-called “Charles Michel Agreement” part of the opposition parties nevertheless entered parliament, and the Labor Party continues to boycott until now. The Laborites in the current parliament have only one deputy mandate. Despite the fact that Natelashvili appealed to the parliament to resign his parliamentary powers back in December 2020, he still has not been deprived of his mandate. Social media poll will decide the fate of Georgian parliamentarian

TBILISI, 11 Jan – Sputnik. The leader of the Labor Party of Georgia, Shalva Natelashvili, will decide to enter parliament or not, based on the results of the poll, which he published on his Facebook page.

For the first time publicly about his plans to enter the Georgian parliament, the Labor leader announced on the New Year holidays on the air of the TV Pirveli TV channel. As Natelashvili noted, he is not at all eager to take the parliamentary seat, but the behavior of other opposition parties, which nevertheless do not leave the supreme legislative body, forces the Laborites to think about the parliamentary tribune.

“After all the opposition parties made the boycott meaningless by their entry into parliament, do you think that the Labor Party should use its mandate, therefore, should I enter parliament?” – Natelashvili wrote.

According to him, the party will take the final decision based on the position expressed by the people.

According to the survey, each user can vote only once. It is advisable to leave short “yes” or “no” answers. Comments that are left from fake profiles will be immediately removed, the politician noted.

The opposition boycotted parliament immediately after the 2020 parliamentary elections, accusing the authorities of falsifying them. Then, after the signing of the so-called “Charles Michel Agreement”, part of the opposition parties nevertheless entered parliament, and the Labor Party continues to boycott it to this day.

The Laborites in the current parliament have only one deputy mandate. Despite the fact that Natelashvili appealed to the parliament to resign from his parliamentary powers back in December 2020, he has not yet been deprived of his mandate.
