TikTok user Samantha Fowler shared a story about a conflict with a waitress, which arose because of one of her questions: the client asked if it was possible to show his photo instead of ID. The blogger added that their quarrel led to the fact that the waitress was left without work.
Fowler said that she and her friends were at the Red Lobster Cafe. After waiting for the waitress for about 10 minutes, the girl asked if her friend could show a photo of the identity document instead of the original, since she had forgotten it at home. “I don’t understand why you are asking me about this at all,” the waitress replied, after which the friends decided to order only water.
After that, the employee of the institution began to scold the girls for asking this question. Then Fowler turned to the manager of the establishment and asked to change the waitress. “We accidentally influenced someone’s firing,” she added in the video description.
In the comments to the post, many criticized the blogger: they felt that the girl should not have asked this question. “Basically, you just wanted her to risk her job,” said one of the users. Some have also suggested that Fowler withheld important details of the conflict from subscribers. At the same time, some of the viewers supported the blogger. They said the waitress shouldn’t have scolded customers.
Earlier, a US resident told how she quit after a tactless remark from her boss to her request for time off for family reasons. She also urged not to work for those who see their employees not as people, but only as robots to make money.
