The increase in infections and hospital admissions leave Gran Canaria in level 4 of health alert, if today the Governing Council reaffirms it.
The Island has all its transmission indicators (incidents) at extreme risk and two of care occupation (hospital admissions and ICU due to COVID) at high risk, data that, with the new requirements established by the Ministry, are sufficient to upload.
For several days, Gran Canaria surpassed Tenerife in number of infections. Yesterday the western one added 3,573 cases for the 2,105 of Gran Canaria, but when doing the first 7,300 tests, for the 5,770 of the second, with positivities of 49.6% and 36.6%.
By municipalities, Las Palmas presented the highest infections among its residents, with 1,057 positives and 13,007 active ones, a cumulative incidence of 1,466 cases at 7 days, due to the 748 positives and 8,895 active ones in Santa Cruz or the 593 infected and 6,142 active ones in La Laguna , with Accumulated Incidents at 7 days of 1,402 and 1,365 cases, respectively
