Jaime Ostos I was very clear about it. He told his wife Let’s harden the Grajal and his son Jacobo: “The day I die I want my body to be cremated and my ashes to be scattered in the bullring of Cija.” Phrase that his son confirms: “My father asked us for that years ago and we will fulfill his wishes in a few days.”
And his widow, the pneumologist Mari ngeles Grajal, will make that posthumous wish come true in a couple of weeks. Jaime felt a great attachment to his people: his countrymen dedicated a tribute to him in March 2003, inaugurating a monument in his honor. The torero, died at the age of 90, he was proud of his origins and had many very good friends in the Sevillian town, whom he used to visit every year.

But before that event, as we have already reported, two more will take place, one in Madrid and the other in Seville. The first, next January 20, with a funeral in the church of Santa Barbara; and the second, two days later, in the Real Maestranza bullring in the Andalusian capital.
In cija another tribute, unfortunately posthumous, is being prepared to bid farewell to one of his favorite sons.
