“Tagesschau”: Serious faux pas in ARD interview – “Must not happen”
There are always breakdowns on live TV. Also the “daily News“Is not spared from such mistakes.
But the “daily News“Campaign, which went viral this time, is actually not at all on the cap of the ARD-Crew. Instead, an interview guest causes great outrage.
“Tagesschau” spokeswoman Caren Miosga is addressed with a false name several times
In a conversation between “daily News“-Spokeswoman Caren Miosga and the diplomat Wolfgang Ischinger, the 75-year-old gets into a big faux pas. But at first it is not clear whether Ischinger is acting on purpose or by mistake.
As a clip from the ARD broadcast shows, Ischinger calls his interlocutor by the name “Ms. Slomka” over and over again. Apparently the lawyer has a completely different news anchor in mind. Because: Marietta Slomka works for ZDF and moderates the “heute journal” there, among other things.
That is “daily News“- Spokeswoman Caren Miosga:
- Caren Miosga was born on April 11, 1969 in Peine
- In 1999 the journalist started at NDR, where she moderated the “Kulturjournal”
- Since 2007 she has been moderating the ARD “Tagesthemen” in weekly alternation with Ingo Zamperoni
- Caren Miosga received the “Golden Camera” in the category “Best Information” in 2017
- The presenter has been married to the pathologist Tobias Grob since 2007 – the couple have two daughters
„daily News“-Faux pas: Interview guest apologizes – and blames it on the technology
It doesn’t help that Caren Miosga draws her interview partner’s attention to the mistake even during the conversation and corrects it: “My name is Miosga. Hello, Mr. Ischinger! Never mind. ”Ischinger still calls her under a false name.
After the broadcast of the report, Wolfgang Ischinger tries to justify himself via Twitter: “I know, I know. Must not happen. Actually not even if you only see the camera but not the person opposite and the tone is such that you only understand the questions vaguely. Sorry, dear Mrs. Miosga! I am very sorry!”
