O State of São Paulo announced that it will follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and reduce isolation time for patients from Covid-19 from 10 to 5 days. The infected will be able to leave the isolation from the fifth day, provided they have tested negative and have not shown symptoms in the previous 24 hours. According to the Secretariat, the patient should remain isolated until the tenth day if he tests positive. If asymptomatic on the seventh day, the patient can be released from isolation without the need for testing. “It is important to note that all protective measures must be maintained, such as the mandatory use of masks, avoid agglomerations, hand hygiene and avoid contact with people with comorbidities until the tenth day”, said the secretary in a note.
