Matosinhos student who assaulted a 12-year-old colleague suspended and subject to disciplinary proceedings

A student suspected of assaulting a 12-year-old classmate at Escola da Barranha, in Senhora da Hora, Matosinhos, has been preventively suspended and will be subject to disciplinary proceedings, informed the group to which the educational establishment in question belongs, which has already named an instructor to lead the process.

Also according to this information, all parties involved were heard, in conjunction with the Escola Segura service of the PSP.

The aggression was consummated on Monday and, as a source from the PSP said, the case was also reported to the judicial authorities, following the call to the scene of a police team from the Escola Segura program.

Ministry “repudiates” violence in the school environment

The Ministry of Education has already reacted, saying that it “strongly repudiates all forms of violence, particularly in the school environment, inviting everyone to take a proactive attitude to prevent violent behavior and disrespect”.

A video played on the social network Facebook showed the victim prostrate on the ground and being punched and kicked by another minor.

The attacked child was left with bruises on his head and in one of his eyes.

An employee who later tried to end the contempt was also hit.
