Isolation by close contact: in the province they analyze changes to national measure

The Minister of Public Health of San Juan, Alejandra Venerando, affirmed that she is analyzing with her team the national recommendation presented today by her national peer, Carla Vizzotti, on not isolating those people who are considered close contact with a coronavirus infection, that are asymptomatic and have applied at least two doses of the vaccine.

Venerando, present at the meeting of the Federal Health Council that took place on Tuesday, indicated that by tomorrow Wednesday there will be a definition regarding this issue at the provincial level and did not rule out that there are changes regarding the national recommendation.

Vizzotti said that each jurisdiction will determine the implementation of these new measures, taken based on the impact on the health system, essential services, Aerolineas Argentinas, firefighters, police, security, energy and the entire private sector.

“We are putting much value on vaccination, especially the reinforcement in the context of minimizing risk and making isolations more flexible,” said the Minister of National Health.

In this way, each province must implement the new provisions agreed by all the country’s ministers of Health. “We believe that some things must be updated. We are considering some modifications to the equipment and for tomorrow (Wednesday) we will publish them,” said the official.
