The residents of 65, between 121 and 122, demanded that the Municipality of La Plata replace the signage that has been missing for several months because it causes them several setbacks, among others, that the cars circulate the wrong way. “They took the signs and passed even the trucks at full speed,” said a neighbor.
It was insisted that it is imperative that they replace the street signs and the reverse.
In the area, it was stated that they feel as if they were off the map of La Plata because many of the services that should be provided are deficient or are not provided at all.
“We would like a security camera to be placed, so beyond the fact that insecurity issues could be anticipated, it would also verify all the cars that circulate in the wrong direction and at excess speed,” said the neighbor.
Another concern is linked to the passage of trucks because due to their weight they cause vibrations that are causing cracks in some of the houses.
“It is one thing for them to go through 122 avenue and another for them to take this street,” said a neighbor.
Along these lines, it was stated that any inspector who spends a few hours on that street may become “a festival” with the fines because the Traffic Law is not respected.
“This is a neighborhood of older people and they cannot go out calmly to run errands or walk because cars and motorcycles appear from anywhere,” he communicated.
The felling of some specimens was also another point of complaint from the neighbors.
According to what was said, a gastronomic merchant removed the trees from the sidewalk and did not replace them. That affected the green heritage of the block.
In addition, it was requested that the street sweeping and cleaning service be implemented because for a long time no personnel have been observed doing this task.
“Any official who comes to chat with us is going to find out what this area needs,” added a neighbor on the block.
