Deutsche Bahn: 3G in trains? Attention, different rules apply HERE
the Deutsche Bahn introduced the 3G rule on all trains on November 24, 2021. It doesn’t matter which federal state ICE, Regio and Co. drive through. Proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test result is mandatory.
However, the 3G rule does not apply everywhere. There is at the German train an exception, for which you even have to show proof of 2G.
Deutsche Bahn: HERE the 2G rule applies
A train journey can be long. However, if you feel like having a sandwich, coffee or scrambled eggs, you should either be vaccinated or have recovered. Because proof of this is required in the on-board bistro and restaurant of Deutsche Bahn.
That means: If you don’t want to enjoy your coffee at your seat, but in the bistro, you have to be prepared for a corresponding control by the employees there.
This is Deutsche Bahn:
- Deutsche Bahn AG was founded on January 1st, 1994
- emerged from the merger of the Deutsche Bundesbahn and the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the GDR
- employs around 338.00 people (as of December 2020)
- Sales 2020: 39.9 billion euros
- The chairman of the board is Richard Lutz
+++ Deutsche Bahn: Employees hardly believe their eyes when they see THAT – the police have to intervene +++
Deutsche Bahn: Special rules in two federal states
Travelers who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons must show a corresponding certificate and a negative test certificate. Bavaria and Berlin are going a different way, they have to use a PCR test.
In addition, you have to observe the mask requirement in the on-board bistro, just like on your seat. You are only allowed to take them off for consumption of food and drinks.
Deutsche Bahn: The rules also apply on THESE trains
These rules also apply if the train does not belong to Deutsche Bahn but, for example, to the French Thalys or the Czech České dráhy. The decisive factor is the country in which the train is traveling. (vh)
