Children from a Russian city asked Putin to renovate a house

Children living in one of the apartment buildings in the city of Tyumen appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to repair the damaged building. The video message was published in the community “Emergency Situations Tyumen” in “VKontakte”.

The house is located on Karl Marx Street. The video begins with a shot of several children standing in front of a house with a Whatman paper on which is written “Putin, Help.” In their appeal, they said that bricks and windows were falling out of the walls of the building, and mold had formed on the ceilings. There are no batteries inside, and a draft forms in the cracks in the walls. “I wonder if the first floor falls into the ground, then we will have a four-story building?” – says the video. According to residents, the house was built 70 years ago.

According to the publication “Podyom”, the house was planned to be renovated in 2017, but the work was not carried out. The local administration noted that the facade of the building was damaged by vandals who opened a tap in the attic, which caused hot water to get onto the brickwork and partially destroyed it. In the near future, the authorities promised to check the condition of the house and assumed that the object would be officially recognized as emergency and subject to demolition.

In December 2020, a resident of Rostov, Dima Antoshin, turned to Putin with a request – he wrote a letter to the head of state in which he asked to help his family with housing. The previous one burned down three years ago, but there was no reaction from the officials. After the boy’s appeal, the prosecutor’s office decided to check the condition of the house.
