VIDEO.- Blocks and blocks of queue: this is how tourists wait to be tested in Pinamar

The COVID-19 testing centers in Pinamar show, before the massive arrival of tourists, crowds in these places waiting for their turn to swab. Demand skyrocketed with the start of the season, which has the coastal district as one of the most chosen, with occupancy levels of more than 30% compared to the usual at this time of year.

In Pinamar there are four testing centers. One is public: it is next to the municipal hospital and they call it the “hisopódromo”, although it is actually a retirement center that is connected by a ramp to that hospital and which is entered through De las Medusas street at 1,200. It opens its doors from Monday to Friday morning, from 7.30 to 10. The other three are private laboratories.

A reader sent EL DIA images of the stables and queue stables that could be observed today on the way to the testing site. Despite the high temperatures, they managed to find some shade and thus wait their turn to perform the test that shows whether or not you have coronavirus.

However, tourism does not stop: there are few towns that did not register a record number of travelers in the first week of the year with occupancy levels close to 100%, mainly in the busiest spas on the Argentine Coast.

Along these lines, and given the lack of new capacity and practically no restriction on circulation or recreational activities other than the Health Pass, tourists move without concern going from the beach to a restaurant without being extremely careful.
