The Hindostan community in the city of Santiago is in mourning, after a father, son and nephew drowned, when on Sunday they enjoyed a walk on Santa Catalina beach, south of Soná.

The bodies of Dipakbhai Sukhabhai Ahir and Smitkumar Dipakbhai Ahir (father and son) were sent to the judicial morgue in the city of Santiago on Sunday night, for the necessary necropsy. At 10 a.m. on Monday, the Joint Task Force reported that the body of Jitendrabhai Dhansukhbhai Ahir was found.

All three were part of the Ahir Indian ethnic group.

The drowned foreigners were well known in the Santiago community and enjoyed the sympathy of the population, since they were considered friendly and good neighbors.

Another death by immersion was Ricardo López, who drowned in the community of Media Luna, in Chitra, Calobre.
