Östersund – Saturday, December 4th, 2021, 1:49 pm
Lisa Hauser finished fourth in the women’s biathlon pursuit over 10 kilometers in Östersund.
The Tyrolean goes into the race first in inhospitable conditions in Sweden (windy, minus 8 degrees) after her sprint victory on Thursday, and shows a flawless shooting performance with 20 direct hits. But the 27-year-old leaves too much time in Lopie.
Marte Olsbu Roeiseland from Norway, who made a shooting error, secured her tenth World Cup victory. The French Anais Bescond (0 errors / + 4.8 seconds) and Anais Chevalier-Bouchet (1F / + 7.0) conquer places two and three. Hauser missed the podium by 9/100 seconds, the gap to the victorious Roeiseland is 7.9 seconds.
Tyrol’s athlete of the year 2021 says at the finish: “I was really nervous today, but I was really looking forward to the race. To zero four times and a fourth place is absolutely fine, I couldn’t do more today. Over You shouldn’t complain about such a placement, but I’m a little annoyed because of the good starting position. “
Dunja Zdouc missed World Cup points as 42nd (3F / + 3: 59.6) as did Julia Schwaiger (54./4F/+5:39) and Anna Juppe (57./8F/+7:39).
Although Austria’s exceptional biathlete from Reith bei Kitzbühel missed her third podium of the season after winning the sprint and second place a week ago in the individual, Hauser sensationally comes to her home races in Hochfilzen from Friday in the yellow jersey of the leaders in the overall World Cup.
